damn :(

a tame sad story

e davvero triste ma bello avrei voluto che continuasse!!

I kind of hope there is a follow up because I want to know what happens. It's nastily twisted yet bittersweet and pitiable. Obviously she's not all that bad but humanity is so cruel to stomp on those that aren't the norm =( I kind of get it with collectivist and interdependent countries but when it happens in countries that are more known for individualism, it's hypocrisy

Poor kid.

Nope. More or so people are merely self-interested and although we'd like to perceive ourselves as the better of the group, when push comes to shove, you'll back away.   Being honest is being cruel, being nice is being superficial, and the latter is more or less the most common approach, especially for strangers.

Harumi Chihiro is quite notorious for having the female lead sleep around but despite his success with Velvet kiss he has the mentality to keep his stories incomplete.  I don't think Harumi has much of what it takes to create a masterpiece romance story despite his gorgeous artwork, his stories are often lacking and most of his stories only attract you because of the art.

Ah... I like this, it makes you think, yet doesn't depress you. I really want to know what happens to her, I like her strange, creepy character.  Reminds me a bit of my old self... (I was a bit of an ugly duckling...)  I wish there was a longer story to go with it.

Poor kid.

Even befriending her would have been better than nothing.

Really? I thought the MC was messed up.

It's not a bad piece, but it feels more like a character background for another work than a story by itself. There's not much of a conclusion, and the major conflict feels like the protagonist's past.

I think this is good. There's nothing to complaint story and art wise, but it makes my heart go cold though...

This is pretty much it for me too, it's lovely art-wise as expected of Harumi Chihirio, but it's alot less vanilla-ish than usual.

It's not turbo depressing, but it does make you feel a certain amount of uneasiness.

I just had a funny thought, could you imagine the gossip of the housewives when she has kids. Imagine if her daughter/son looks like her. They'd think that she's commit adultery because they look nothing like her or her husband.

I think this is good. There's nothing to complaint story and art wise, but it makes my heart go cold though...
