Is it ended? Noooo! This was my favorite Touhou series!!

Sigh, I want a sequel... or future projects from Zun and the artist!

I definitely want more work from the artist. Would be glad if she and ZUN work together again, but I'll read any new work from her for sure.

Spoiler

Bloody hell. You just don't get it do you? I don't care about the translation. It's actually pretty good. I'm posting because you're being an arse who prefer the translation of "Flower Viewing"over "Hinami". Seriously The fact that you're brushing off the people who are criticising you over you being a dick as trolls and shit posters shows that you are beyond convincing.

Oh, and funny you should mention that I should be getting fired up over people blowing minor things out of proportion because isn't that what you've being doing? Taking so confusion and slight dislike over a single bloody word and treating those people as complete idiots for liking a different translation? You can call me hypocrite all you want but that won't stop the fact that you're projecting at this point.

Spoiler

and 'oh no, translators are using japanease words for japanease-only things' is better.
my problem is not that there are people who are irked by reading 'youkai'/'youma'/'hanami', but the fact that you guys are so vocal about your dislike. please stop. if it really bothers you, go someplace else instead of ruining everyone's experiance with your complaints.

I don't think you're quit grasping the situation. Let me recap. You see people first read the last chapter and were wondering why flower viewing was left untranslated. You see every other time it has shown up in the Touhou manga it had been translated. Hell, even in Touhou fan works in other places such as Danbooru it had been translated and this left people scratching their heads as to why it was left alone.

Then you had come crawling out of the wood works like a roach and started to imply that the people who were confused about this were just either trolls or uneducated, because god forbid that people be confused when something that is commonly translated in Touhou works (both official and unofficial) is suddenly left alone and when people started to call you out on it you doubled down on this and insulted people even more.

If you actually looked at the comments you would of noticed that I hadn't actually posted until yesterday. This is because I didn't really have a problem with the translation until you, yes you, started to get all uppity at the people confused at it. So maybe if you actually took the time to actually understand why people were confused and slightly annoyed over the translation instead of treating them as if they had a lower IQ than you then maybe there wouldn't of been as big of a problem as there is now. The main problem at the moment isn't the untranslated word, it's you being a dick to the people being confused about it.

did the tl group just tled kosuzu-chan as little kosuzu?
if thats the case...
just because of a few shitposters and idiots? well, it sure showed them... hopefully they will shut up next time they see hanabi/dakimura/ onigiri and just go watch spongebob or something.

And there you go with the name calling and insults.

Not an argument

Nice ending, would've been better if the translator did a few things differently.

But criticism isn't allowed here apparently.

You get called an idiot and a shitposter for it for some stupid reason.

Different opinion maybe? Some people really need to grow up.

Making post like these aren't really helping your case.

"Oh no! There are people who like this thing that I like but aren't as heavily invested in the Japanese side of it! They should just watch Spongebob instead!"

See? That's what you're coming off as.

"I'm buzy man, so explain it in thirty words or less".

I just briefly as possible summarized it.

Because I am the one who usually cant get over with it in thirty words.

I wonder sometimes if Yukari has dealings with the 3rd Noble House of Menzobaranzan. Her thinking is rather drow-like.

A thoroughly enjoyable end to a thoroughly enjoyable installment, I think Forbidden Scrollery might be my favorite Touhou manga and I can't wait for the next project.

What a nice ending.

In other news... NOOO! Why must it come to an end?! I've loved this series... :(

Damn it, hag yokai, talked her way out of it. I wish Reimu would really payed her a beating.

Kosuzu was on her way to become a yokai and being killed by Reimu, so she made her a yokai to not be killed by Reimu. Os so she said.

From what I gather it's more that she caused Kosuzu to be POSSESSED by a youkai, in order to force her to be brought into the group of people who are "in the know" about how things really work. Her constant exposure to youkai energy and getting hints around the fringes of the truth were running the risk of corrupting her, and because Reimu and the others couldn't be open with her they couldn't deal with the problems adequately. Now that Kosuzu has been made a member of the group, so to speak, they don't have to worry about hiding the truth from her while trying to protect her, so they are much more likely to succeed at keeping her from being corrupted.

Yukari's logic is a bit confusing...Not SUPER sure I get it.

Yukari just described touhou perfectly lmao

From spoilers/summary that ending had sounded a lot worse to me. As it stands it's fine, however I really think that Kosuzu should've come away with some punishment, OR Reimu coming after her had been more of a big deal. Personally I really wanted a twist where Reimu becomes the "villain", determined to exterminate Kosuzu, only for the rest of the cast to save Kosuzu/try to stop Reimu. Yukari's logic is a bit confusing...Not SUPER sure I get it.

Overall it's a good manga with a light touch of an ending. Thanks for translating it, all involved.

PS thanks for the hard work. this was a great manga, like all ZUN stories.

Goodbye Forbidden Scrollery, thanks for all the memories.

Spoiler

While we are on the subject, don't forget the roots of this started with the best teeth in the game!

Spoiler

While we are on the subject, don't forget the roots of this started with the new translator romanizing "hanami" instead of translating it like the previous translator.

Not to mention the weird font change on page 5.

While we are on the subject, don't forget the roots of this started with you being a cunt. :)  :)  :)

"While we are on the subject, don't forget the roots of this started with [x]"

I think you made a new meme.

Oh boy!
>Hanami = Flower Viewing
Maybe you should've just put "Flower Viewing" in the speech bubble instead of sticking it in the corner in a tl note.
That and the weird font in the fourth panel at page 5.

Spoiler

Note: Keikaku means plan

This

This tl note thing needs to stop.

It's not funny and it makes you search between the panels to find where the editor hid the translation.

Thank you for picking this up and translating it but please stop this tl note nonsense.

Halloween is a proper noun, ya dingus. You don't translate proper nouns because they're self-evidently describing themselves. Halloween is basically a different celebration from the holiday its name is a contraction of, All Hallow's Evening.

Other countries that do celebrate All Hallow's Evening but not Halloween absolutely do have their own name for it in their own language. But Halloween is different from that; it's very specific. You're probably not going to call it Costume Night or Trick or Treat Festival or something because it already has a proper noun.

What I'm getting at is that you're attributing "hanami" to be a proper noun, when it isn't, and there isn't any reason to take it as a loanword and turn it into one. It isn't even the only Japanese name for that kind of party!
