It was the mother of her friend that fell into a coma.
The main reason they became friends to begin with.
It's implied Sanae performed a divine intervention with fate to restore the health of her friend's mom as promised.
Shit. That makes more sense than I want it to.
I think one of the many things that really struck me on this doujin was that one girl's mom. She couldn't even realize what here daughter was doing.
That girl who woke up at the end, was that the girl Sanae chopped up?

I think it's because they put flowers on the desks of students that died. In other words, it's pretty much saying to the person "go die". ...Kiiiiiiinda fucked up.
Stuff like these are what I think makes Touhou great.
