the younger brother is inadvertently hilarious...and Kamiya ain't bad.  I'm enjoying it...and I'm grateful for the scarlett fansub for the spanish translations...(I was desperate. )

Your comment reminds me of a bit from early in Cat Street.  The MC fell for this guy, who actually used to have a thing for her but he's got a girlfriend now.  So when she realizes the situation she's upset and for reasons ends up crying on the girlfriend's shoulder and saying "But I only want Taiyou!" and the girlfriend says, "I'm sorry but you can't have him!"

And she can't.  Emotions, as you say, don't always allow things to go the way you wanted them to go.  She moves on and ends up with somebody else.

I'm impressed. The characters are all people who know what they want and aren't afraid to go after it. However, life doesn't always let you follow your plan, and emotions don't always allow things to go the way you wanted them to go. I like this manga a lot!

Yes, Chapter 16 has a flashback. You're hinted at it from the way he says "It's been 7 years, huh?" and the next panel has like magical bubbles x) There's also little hints when she mentions it's his first year, and their interactions are really different from previous chapters. Usually flashback pages are in black panels-- not sure why the mangaka didn't make it more obvious. 

I wanna say it was a flashback? There's nothing really on the page that suggests it was a memory, but it'd be weird for that to just happen without it being some kind of reveal or event, right? I have to assume it was just clumsy presentation.

It had never occurred to me that this could possibly not be josei.  It kinda reminds me of Hotaru no Hikari (which hasn't had an update in way too long  )

Gosh, this is a great josei, no annoying cliches or overused plot devices, just a modern, romance with mature and likeable people who know what they want and that portrays relationships more realistically (at least the part where the girl knows she should look for lifelong partners who share the same views and values, also how they obviously love each other but  each has their own life, and they how are not like teenagers in love texting each other every five minutes) that many a shoujo (or even josei) out there.

Why, oh why didn't I read this earlier?
