Holy shit, for a throwaway Harlequin romance story, this was actually really good! A charming male lead who doesn't pointlessly act like a dick the whole time! Misunderstandings that are cleared up by people looking at facts and thinking about things for more than a second! Nobody gets raped or coerced into anything! I can hardly believe it. I genuinely enjoyed that. It's about as deep as you'd expect from the names "Milly" and "Jilly", but as a stress-free read that takes fifteen minutes to blast through, this is everything I could ask for.

but the only real complaint I have at this point is the pathetic naming of characters. Jilly and Milly? REALLY?! bleh

I agree about the pathetic naming of the characters, but that's the actual name of the characters...lol

 

But I assure you the story is worth it.
