Concise and to the point with an impactful story. Even when writing a oneshot barely longer than a regular weekly serialization, this guy produces gold. 10/10 mangaka; just how does he keep doing it?

Mizukami Satoshi, everyone.

Wishing as a plot element is pretty fun I must say. It can go either horribly right or wrong, or both in this case. There are just so many instances. Wishmaster 2 and the idiot guard's request to dance "Compton Style" (which the Djinn doesn't even twist in any form like previous wishes, he just literally does it!) or Slash's ending at the end of Waku Waku 7. He meant well, and so did that fairy, but holy shit did that go hilariously south on him (16:39 is when fun starts):

So this guy was a chuuni?

It looks like what happens when you re-watch a show you were fond of when you were a kid.

"How could I like this... thing?"

So why is it nobody who gets wishes ever seems to be any good at it?

Because if you use a wish and it goes well, the story's awfully boring or awfully short.

That was too strong Mizukami Sensei. If he added summoned/hit by the truck premise it would be a pinpoint attack at pretty much every LN nowadays.

To make it fun! But I do know one where some guy basically made himself invincible with his wishes. Of course he was an idiot dumb (or arrogant) enough to use the wishes of a monkeys paw even with being told it fucks over all its users in the end so in the end it destroyed him too of course but the first wishes worked well for him.

He's already married. She probably manipulated fate somewhat so she wouldn't even be put in such a scenario. I've read so many tales where

genies/djinn are connivers and usually work wishes to their advantage, not the wishers. A story where a neet, fat otaku, or hikkimori stumbles onto a Shantae like genie sounds pretty funny to me though.

In my defense, I was stating that I knew what MY first wish would be.  I don't have his situation, so no worries there. :D

Wow, Meta.

Satoshi turned 37 this year too. I hope he doesnt believe he has no talent as a writer.

This isn't realistic at all.

Mizukami Satoshi means quality mmm...~!

I hope we get to see another serialized manga from him mmm...

Cute female genie, eh? Well, I KNOW what my first would be... ;)

You know you're Mizukami if you made a one-shot Isekai parody that is WAAAAAAAY fucking better than most Isekai stories out there.

To be fair tho, this isn't even an isekai, and most of the time Parody is always received better than the original, i mean, look at how popular Gintama is.

At least he wasn't a sonic fan when he was younger.

Oh god, the fanbase. Sonic Dreams collection...

This author is so friggin good though, I bet even Sonic could be salvaged.

This not-so-subtle jab at the shit LN authors that keep pumping out chunni stuff is hilarious to be honest. Mizukami had way too much fun with this I bet.

I love the name "Clichette".

i'd read this series.

This was quite the enjoyable short story.

Mizukami needs to write a bad manga one of these days. Otherwise, I'm just going to keep having high expectations.
