so Moe is clearly the best girl, right?

I see Ayame shares my love for braided bespectacled girls.

The original isn't Mashiro-san though. She actually says actually Mashiro-shi ”氏” She's being very formal. While some honorifics are fairly straight forward, if we're going to start delving into more nuanced ones, then they need to be localized to retain the intent of the speech.

Well, "need to be localized" is a bit of an exaggeration IMO. I see your point and understand why it was translated that way, but this is not the only option.

Personally, I would prefer to keep the honorific and add a translation note somewhere (either that page or at the end of the chapter). Or perhaps even localize it, but still include the translation note about what was said originally and its meaning.

It is very convenient and interesting to learn something new while reading manga, so simply removing/replacing cultural and language nuances seems like a waste.

Localization may also lead to some loss of information/context. For example, there is a difference between "-san" and "-shi" in Japanese but we can't spot it in the currently available translated version.

Yeah, the localized translation is pretty much the only thing that annoys me in these releases. It kinda harms the impression/atmosphere, especially when the story clearly takes place in Japan and features Japanese people.

Why did Mashiro-san turn into Miss Mashiro at the end...

Edit: I thought I would add a note/clarification.

The localization here is very minor and generally not annoying. Actually, in this regard chapters released  so far are fairly good, better than most stuff out there.

It was just that one thing that looked weird, and since someone mentioned it already I decided to comment on it as well.

I just realized Mashiro is made of happiness.

Spoiler

hahaha..... a name pun. Toranoana to Hebinoana.

This is cute. Not exactly laugh out loud funny though. I don't like Sango though. I'm hoping for Ayame x Moe.

This manga basically Non Non Biyori but with Tomoko as the MC.

Pretty nice SoL so far.

please, give some shoujo ai/yuri scene.

Ayame-tan pls

Shoujo ai tag, you never fail to deliver.

the main character in this reminds me of a toned down version of the one from its not my fault im not popular

Saber reference?!

Eh, this is blatant moebait and Ayame kinda seems like a reader stand-in in some ways (the specific ways she's pervy), but it's pretty funny, plus I like dark characters like her. I suppose I'll follow this.

hate mashiro because of last page chapter 2. damn....!!!!

Wow this one is really good...the MC reminds me of Yuriko from Gakkou mo Sensei

A dark lesbian. LOL

Another potential target for KyoAni's new project.

Let's try it for a while.

I don't think there's enough abs in this series for it to register on KyoAni's radar.

On a more serious note, let's hope Kyoukai no Kanata turns out well at least...

indeed, I had the same thought about chuuni koi.

anyway, the girls are cute. =P moar shoujo ai.

Very promising...very promising indeed...

where the yuri tag???

Dunno if its just me but the character design for Moegi is kind of refreshing. I like her. She might be rather classic but she reminds me of Yui from Yuri Yuri.

Thanks for the release, CXC!
