Wait wait wait i was laughing, why did i suddenly started crying?
If you look at her speech bubble, her words are blurred/the text box is empty, indicating he can no longer understand what she's saying.
He just replied to whatever she said, stating he'll wait for the next green light. She got the surgery, and he's all alone, again.

Chapter 9 is a debut work by OHTAKE Masao. In his first year as a mangaka, he struggled working on a serious manga, but failed.
A couple of years later, he decided to change to a gag manga. He came up with several synopses. The author wanted to go with the Last Supper (chapter 3), but, God forbids, the editor pushed "Hinamatsuri" on him instead. Hallelujah!
What, only 4.5 stars?
Is it really a downer? The guy clearly replied back to whatever the girl said in the last page, so wouldn't that mean she didn't get the operation?

Well, those feels came out of nowhere. There's usually a link between chapters, but this one didn't seem to have one at all.

In my opinion, Vol.1 Ch.04: Let's Have A Reunion! was the funiest of them all.
And I loved the way they connected each chapter with the next one.
