Actually not, in chapter 72 you have 71 chapters before and 71 chapters after. With pair number you can divide in 2 equals half but you need an odd number to have a middle one.
I much prefer this Kaneki.

That's Touka from Tokyo Ghoul, google "Tokyo Ghoul special illustration calendar 2015" for a nice treat.
Like I mentioned in the comment section of the regular manga, the one-shot in that manga is actually chapter 144. I found it strange that chapter 72 was titled "Halfway" but there were only 143 chapters in Tokyo Ghouls. But if you count the "one-shot" there as chapter 144, it means Ishida trolled us again, and this is the real one-shot.
Wah wah, funny how they switched role. Seeing the art develops is a nice thing too. Poor shinohara though.

Kaneki has been the MC since the one shot, meaning he cant be dead!! Sasaki is kaneki 100 percent!!
Awesome. Loved it. It'd be even more awesome to have an alternative story with the same characters and timeline. This oneshot proves it won't be boring.
