Seems like your basic shounen so far: childhood friend, pretty transfer student, knows MC and is interesting in him for some reason... etc
The only odd part is the MC's obsession is in recycling assorting trash.
I can somewhat understand the addiction to galge, moe, loli and the same stuff other mangas are based on from years watching/reading anime and manga, but this is different, just the trash topic -to me- is original, however the fact that I'm in the U.S and we don't separate recycled trash as rigorously as they do in Japan makes it awkward to read about the MC's vapid obsession to it.
