Tokage no Ou

I should have read the comments. The reason I read complete series is so I don't have to worry about being kicked out of the story and wondering where it goes. I would really like to continue the story and I'm so pissed I that the LN isn't translated. I would seriously buy the books at this point because I like a lot of things about this one. But yeah, if you want a complete story don't start this one.

Bien, este fue un manga con un prologo muuy largo en verdad. Me entretuvo y me gustó como se desarrolló el prologo, como todo cobraba sentido mientras leía. Que el prologo abarcará el 99% de la historia del manga me pareció muy extraño y que el capítulo final quedará tan inconcluso, me decepcionó un montón... Me dejó con ganas de leer más y me di cuenta que ahí se acababa todo. Creo que hicieron esté manga solo para hacerle publicidad a la NL que es la que en sí tiene toda la historia completa.

LO MALO: va a tomar siglos a que la NL sea traducida por algún fansub al español.

En fin, este manga me gustó mucho pero el final es un asco, si lo leen que sea bajo su propio criterio.

The more you read it, the more you get confused. Thats whats this story is all about.

The main character is pretty lame, useless powers, what the heck is that?

It would be better if this manga is just focusing about his Wild Wild Fantasies.

This was weird... Kinda a bummer only having access to the prologue of a story. I'd kinda like to know why Sugamo would even want his eye alone, because it's just...a normal eye unless he changes its color. She mentions that one time it was a really pretty color, but she didn't steal it when it was that color... Woulda made more sense to keep wooing him and then she could have access to all the wonderful eye color changes she wants. 

I like Sugamo as a character though... She's really freaky. Kinda sad that she turned out that way (thought she was kinda adorable early on) but you know, cult leader daughter pretty much means fucked up daughter any way you look at it in fiction. God knows what they did to her as she grew up. 

This story left me with mixed feelings.. Kinda want to read the novel to see what happens after the "climax". If Togake was left absolutely without an idea who stole his eye and "lady rich bitch" was still close to him id go and literally murder the author along with artist due making these characters look so damn good. At least they made it so that character wasnt absolutely stupid like in the start but actually got something and managed to do something awesome.

If giving a review, id say author really managed to illustrate main characters, especially Subumo, very nicely. I rarely feel this kind of hatred towards a character and in this story I found one of those rare types.. a manipulative b*tch who is ready to put her "beloved" person into pieces if it meant She got whatever she wanted... If I could've somehow affected into this story Id make Kingfisher blow/steal the eye Subumo had and hid Tokage so deep under the rocks she would never find him.. make that wh*ring lady with foxtail go mad and turn her life a living misery since it seems Tokage and his eyes were prettymuch the greatest objective she had in her lunatic life. Go and search something you know exists but you shall never find.

Or better yet, have Tokage spit to her face saying a dead eye wont change its colour to that what she seeks and one which is still in his head is something he will never have to show that special colour to her.

I read a lot of the comments before reading this and I still gave it a try.

It was a mistake, this manga is a waste of time. A lot of bullshit happens with bullshit explanations. The MC is everyone's bitch for 14 chapters despite the author wanting to portray him as "cool" in a couple of covers. "King" of lizards my ass, I just sat there waiting for him to awaken and guess what,

Sadly the LN is not currently available in English, it might be much better than the manga. I just know however that even if I read it someday, my opinion on the story might change but my disgust for this manga won't.

This manga confused more than it entertained.

 

I think it's amusing the plot got finally interesting with the last chapter,

a desperate, pathetic move of the author to avoid getting "axed"?

But well, too late.

Not happy about Japan's manga rating system (still against it), but sometimes they do get sth right, like voting this crazy manga down. 

If you read any of the comments you'd know this is an adaptation. So it wasn't a desperate attempt not to get axed. The LN is more popular I'm told, but apparently not astounding.

. . . What the hades! This manga might as well been a troll, so hopefully it is only a :demo" for the LN, but gained enough interest for a actually serial.

Not gonna lie...That last page was epic!

Well,  I stuck it out through the prologue hoping it would get better because I saw a lot of potential (those with powers, the assassin group, etc.).  Mindless violence (and guy-shots) with a vague hand-wave at plot (although I admit I didn't initially suspect Sugamo of anything) don't really get me into a story.  So then I slogged through the "prologue," and just when I was hoping to see things unfold and discover more of their "world" than just an abandoned building and a hospital...it ends.  The artwork was nice, but the whole thing was kinda like trying to eat a jawbreaker, only to chip your teeth breaking the outer layer and find it was hollow to begin with.

Still, thanks to the scanlators for the hard work.

The entire manga seem more like a promo for LN which I now gladly read if it was translated. a.a

But I was really enjoying the artwork as well ;_;

Oh my, this is just great. Somehow, we were all expecting this, even as a joke, didn't we?

 

But all the butthurt... Come on, although it could be a bit confusing at times, wasn't this a nice ride? It's all about the journey, not the destination... Frankly, I liked this.

The mc and his rather unique power, the queen-of-bitches attitude of Sugamo, and the end reveal, it all makes good stuff, that'll probably get some continuation of some sort if even half of the readers in Moonland react like batoto.

 

Youngsters these days can't really appreciate the subtle things in life, can they...

I hate to say it but I know for a fact someone called it on what they were going to do. My question is this though. If they had not named the chapters the way they did would this have continued? Still at least at the end we got to see something a bit cool.
