I get the feeling you might have been tricked by the cover to think this was something else. (joking)
Basically, it's just "Guy has a harem but shows no signs of interest in any of them". Just like half the shounen romances ever.

and the RAW already goes so far than the translated one ...
did you actually read the RAW version ?
(tough reading your post description, there's several anime that makes same gesture so I'm not so sure ...)
