Oh, but China is a bit of a different case, I suppose.

A small part of it is not communist and is slowly growing bigger(it's also the most developed state, I think is a state, I don't remember), it's gathering support from neaby states and things are beginning to change there.

 

There's also a lot of unrest in North Korea(not to the point of animosity), they may or may not kick that idiot out of power in a near future.

 

In Russia or Cuba's case, frankly I don't know. It may be a cultural thing or similar, or people there may simply lack any sort of backbone(And I really don't think that's the case, especially in Russia.)

 

But, in most cases, dictators tend to have their ass handed to them in the end.

I meant China of Mao, and earlier dictators of NK. I wouldn't call China dictatorship nowadays.

They can get away with doing lots of stupid shit as long as they make sure to keep playing their subourdinates against each other. Hitler made sure his subourdinates had a lot of conflicting roles to "foster competition" or something dumb like that, which just meant a lot of interservice bickering. Sure, one group might want to launch a coup but its hard to do that if all the groups hate each other and would love to save the dictator in order to get rewarded.

And yet there are many assholes like him irl. Dictators are always like that.

Which is why, sooner or later, they always end up dying or being arrested due to a coup d'etat.
