Go buy a book at Amazon.

oh why!!!! i NEED THE 6 CHAPTER!!! ....T_T/... im crying really hard right now.. waaaaa

Dude, most scanlators live outside Japan, so they don't really have any prospect of getting sued.

I'll scanlate Thermae Romae if you're wiling to pay for my legal defense, and any punitive damage, if I'm sued in a Japanese court. We all know you're not. Case closed.

p,s, Batoto has nothing to do with this. It was my decision to protect myself.

Suit yourself.

Just a word of advice: Next time you're worried about legal issues, make sure you inform yourself before you act.

Scanlation is no less illegal when translated into one language or another. You are making an illegitimate copy of the book and releasing it to the general public after all.

If you want to take the risk and keep scanlating, you're welcome to do so.

If you're scared of legal issue, I'm not going to force you to continue.

But please, make up your mind beforehand, will you? I'd hate to see you getting sued after you gave up only halfway.

If that were relevant, we wouldn't see any release for series such as Naruto or One Piece, since they're also translated and sold in English.

Although I'm one of the "support the creator" people, I also happen to frown down on hypocrisy. If Batoto prevented you from releasing chapters of Thermae Romae, they should at least have the decency and shut down most of the popular series being scanlated and released here, as most are commercially (and legally) available in English.

I just thought I'd provide my two-cents.

@all

I apologize for releasing a manga that is already translated and commercially sold in the English-speaking world. I was unaware of it. Since I do not want to get dragged into any legal trouble, I will delete it.

Once again, while I know I sound hypocritical - nonetheless, please support the mangaka for buying a manga if and when it is released in your own country.

Take care.

The Yen Press release is well above par. A fantastic production. I can't wait for the final volume this February.

Yeah, I just bought the first volume a few days ago myself.  The question was more in reaction to the other recent comments, it just irks me when people clamour for translations of things that are already in good quality English, which was what it looked like there.  Heck, Yen Press is a whole three (Japanese) volumes ahead already!

Oh?  Is Yen Press' release not up to par?

Somehow, I wasn't expecting a cliffhanger in this manga.

Did I somehow miss the contact info in this one? It says that the translator needs a proofreader, but I have no idea who to contact.

So life can troll you, even if you're a time-travelling roman bath engineer, uh?

I guess it doesn't help Lucius that half of Rome think he's the Emperor's "it".

Nice!

Thanks for picking it up, this series is great :D

Woot! Thanks for picking this up Anonymous Preferred :)

Wow. The anime cover looks stupid. But the manga is entertaining. I guess time to watch the anime.

Great manga!

I laughed after noticing the framed porn on the wall in the top panel

Spoiler

lol. even though i know japan can make manga about anything. i never thought they could make a manga about bath this interesting.
Ugh I hate the roman attitude he has.
I'll follow this in the hopes that it gets another update one day.
It's been a while since the last update... guess I'll be reading this in a library. Pretty good so far. Maybe a bit strange that every detail he puts in his designs garner such a positive reaction, but still.
my thoughts after chapter 1..... Posted Image
Wow, what an interesting manga. Basically, an architect of ancient Rome gets transported into the future, where he gets ideas about bathhouses from a modern Japanese bathhouse. Not a bad story, if a bit off-the-wall.
