@Heretic @Akasha There is actually some information about the box and characters in the author's blog. However, our translator is a busy person so we don't translate the author's blog posts and notes.

The fates had nothing to do with Pandora. Zeus had Pandora created and sent to earth with the box to marry some dude, I don't remember this name but he was Prometheus's brother whom Zeus was angry at and taking revenge on him. The box was given to the couple by Zeus as a wedding present but they were warned to never open it. Eventually, Pandora's curiosity gets the better of her and she steals the keys from her husband when he's asleep and opens and everyone should know the rest.

I got the impression that it gets translated because the people reading it either liked it and/or at least tought it (or whatever connected to it) got enough potential to be enjoyable to themself and/or others in the future?

Side note to the mythological Pandoras Box:

Wasn´t the mythological Pandora made the way she is/destined to open Pandoras box by the gods? Sure, because of the way greek fate works she got some degree of choice in the matter about opening it or not opening it but still ...

Hope wasn´t exactly viewed positive back then ... there is a reason why it was put together with all that evil stuff, after all ... because it was viewed as a negativ trait at all ... I don´t exactly remember ... at least to some degree connected to "blindness" (as in, not seeing things straigth and being delusional)?

And wasn´t there also some interpretation out there that Pandoras box wasn´t there to begin with and the entire thing is more or less a metaphor about the appcetance of women (through which all this "evil" was set free)? The world back then wasn´t exactly woman friendly, after all.
