Description: | Based on the series of novels by acclaimed wuxia author, Jin Yong, the comic's initial part of the story revolves around a highly coveted manual containing a powerful martial arts technique known as the "Evil Exorcising Swordplay". The manual is an heirloom of the Lin family, who run the Fortune Prestige Agency, a private security and escorting service in Fuzhou. Yu Canghai, the leader of the Qingcheng Sect, leads his followers to massacre the Lins and attempts to seize the manual for himself, but does not find it. Lin Pingzhi, the sole survivor from the Lin family, is saved by Yue Buqun, the head of the Mount Hua Sect, which is a member of the Five Mountains Sword Sects Alliance. Yue Buqun accepts Lin Pingzhi as an apprentice and trains him in swordplay. Meanwhile, Yue Buqun's most senior student, Linghu Chong, an orphaned, happy-go-lucky and honourable swordsman who has a penchant for alcohol finds himself befriending the notorious bandit Tian Boguang and saves Yilin, a nun from the (North) Mount Heng Sect, from Tian's lecherous advances. However, that is just the beginning of a series of escalating conflicts as various individuals take to extreme measures to attain the manual as well as achieve their personal goals. |

Man I love this story. Read the Novel and watched the film. Only thing that bothers me is the drawing of the Nun's head and the overall lack of femininity in the art of the women. In the latest chapter (chapter 20), the nun looks like a conehead in some panels and then like she has microcephaly in others. Needs to be corrected lol. But other than that, I love this Manhua adaptation. And I love old-school style comics as well and this gives you that feel. Keep up the great work Mongolian Scroll Illustrations!
I tried looking for them. No luck! Do you know if they are available online?
Quite a lot actually. Here's a list of wuxia and generally everything taking place in Murim / Shadowworld / World of Martial arts or whatever you wanna call it. The bold ones are the ones I'd recommend:
Wow, this is really good. Jin Yong is truly a master storyteller, the scenes in this story are really chilling.
Though, I think reading Jin Yong works is comic form is kind of more fun, since reader got to see the scenes portrayed visually instead of just prose. There are some impressions that lost from reading them in novel form of course (less for me, since I cannot read Chinese and have to rely on English translation so some things already lost to begin with) but seeing things like character expression and movement dynamics add to the dramatics. Well, best fun is to just to enjoy all versions available.
The Condor Heroes comics are also very good. You people should try looking for it if you haven't.
This series is really good! I love good wuxia stories. Thanks for translating this!
And I didn't, for a good reason.
The current synopsis is actually much more concise and accurate.
You can change the synopsis if you'd like...
I don't see why he has to be in the synopsis. In fact, why not just read to see how it unfolds, instead of expecting the synopsis to say it all.
But hes not even mentioned in the synopsis? I thought he was the main bad guy in another novel.
But he does.

The comic is an adaptation of the novel of the same name and this IS the work he appears in, what are you on about?
What part of drawing a blade during a bar brawl and stabbing a guy in the gut counts as "accidental" killing?!
PENDEKAR HINA KELANA!! YAAAYYY
Already bought and read the whole volume since it's licensed in my country, but I think I'll read it again, it's a legit good series~
I have been a fan of the novels.
Thank you very much for translating this, Mongolian Scroll!
now this is nice
moooooooooaaaaaaarrrrrrr!!!!
Looking forward to seeing where this one goes.
You ought to get a proofreader, lots of small grammar mistakes.
Anyway, good stuff.
