This manga totally blew my mind.
Heavy spoiler:
This manga really got me. As early as Connie. Something about a puffy cheeked, gentle hearted under-performer who praises others amidst her mediocrity just made me want to hug the kid and say encouraging things. It ignited all my paternal instincts. Then when it happened, I was left empty.
After that I was dreading any loss. They really set me up for the kind of tension this sort of tightrope walk of a manga needs.
