I get the feeling that guns probably don't exist in the world this is set in anymore. Because the Resistance referred to a Lost Relic they call the "Fire Spitting Stick". Which kind of sounds like the sort of name one would give a gun if they had no idea what a gun is.
If only they know that the fertilizer they use can be turned to bombs.

I wonder if they ever tried arrows from a blind spot or maybe create an explosion then. Seems like there's still a few ways you could kill a noble from afar but I guess they probably took away all knowledge.
