So... who is her father? If the company pres is the "Jinx's Lover" of her mom and it's heavily implied they're having sex... but he wants the little girl to be the "Jinx's Lover" of his son............ are they half siblings? Did he let some other dude impregnate her?

 

Obviously sex isn't a requirement for the predictions but I mean... still kinda weird to give your daughter to her half brother as a "lover".

Any man who touches her gets all her predictions for himself... yes? So at the start of the story where he is terribly unlocky... Is it that he rejects this luck and so the consequences are to be jinxed? Still more chapters needed, and this past flashback hasnt ended yet

They mentioned in an earlier chapter that the predictions are more attuned to the "lover" but that seems to suggest that she can still predict stuff for other people. I'm a bit confused about this chapter and all the random good luck he's having, since I thought her power was just predicting the future... But yeah if she also has some kind of good luck power, probably something like not having regular contact or rejecting her caused all his future bad luck.

Chapter 3 gives an alternate perspective of the mother and daughter's situation considering their abilities.

 

I don't buy the explanation given in Chapter 3 for why they're locked up, nor am I convinced the author wants us readers to believe the obvious bad guy.

 

The mother and daughter pair have options for keeping their powers secret. They could get a job which can be done from home. They could wear gloves and claim they had skin conditions, or wear burqas and claim to be Muslim.

 

On the other hand, I bet they would have a lot of trouble surviving in the real world after being locked up all their lives. They have no identification, no money, no education. The bad guy is the one who's made them dependent on him by keeping them powerless. He's not doing them a favor.

 

And the implication of the story is, at the very least, that he can show up anytime and demand sex with the mother and she has no say in it. I'm pretty sure he's supposed to be evil and we're supposed to be disgusted by him and rooting for his downfall.

This kinda stuff happened in the past in some kingdoms that "wanted to control the bloodline" brothers and sisters.... this seems to be something similar
