A good read. Chihaya has always been my favorite idol from the anime, so this short story was an enjoyable experience for me.

THE iDOLM@STER is originally a game, where the player assumes the role of the producer to help girls become idols.
Since the player can choose his name, and all the girls are voice acted, the player is referred to only as "Producer".

So basically, people assume that "Producer" is already his name, or at least part of it.

Producer's never have a name, since, in the games, the Producer is you. In some cases it makes it easier to self insert, in others it doesn't seem as imposing.

Very nice if I have to say but, doesn't he have a name!? Producer all the time I was like "Doesn't he have a name or what?"
