-The thing is: leaving aside the isekai shit itself (which started its boom in 2014 and today is growing thanks to the usual crappy JWN and JLN), there are A LOT of generic stuff included in most japanese isekai series (For example: Truck-kun and its variants, harem, after reincarnating the MC gets everything explained by a god or superior entity, MC is a highschooler and/or a loser, obliviousness, hand-picked knowledge that makes the MC OP, the MC is always OP, edgy or tragic background, the MC unconsciously imposes his culture on the natives and japanizes the place, deus ex machina every 4 chapters, childhood friends, the villians or rivals make retarded mistakes, prolonging arcs too much to make the "good guys" look better than the rest, the MC is unambitious and passive, the MC has warped common sense, the natives will always think the MC is cool even if he/she does something stupid, etc) always shown in the first chapters; half of them not present here. Also, I said this was better (based on the absence of some of the generic japanese elements described above), not a different genre. If the genre is the same, it will obviously be similar.
