Depends on the publisher. Shueisha(Shonen Jump's publisher) has a really nasty habit and history of this(Double Arts, Mx0, I-Revo, and several others I'm forgetting at the moment). If you check Baka-updates and see it listed as part of Shueisha or any of it's subsidiaries, then there's your answer.
So three factions making for more fun.
Also, why do so many of the nice ones get cut short and another samey fighting manga gets 100+ chapters.
Another rad chapter! Thanks for the translation!
No it actually finishes here in 4 chapters plus a 10 years later chapter.
Edit: My bad 5 years later chapter. XD;;
What?!? Did it get cancelled? They aren't even gonna get to the Azores...
It's the last volume, too.
Holy S*** you're awesome!
page 9
4 volume is too short! Guhh!
Oh my gosh, they became pirates! (I for one enjoy a good pirate/navy chase).
Edit:
Ah. It is. A darn shame...could've been like a more epic shounen Emma in another life lol (ref to popularity and setting rather than plot)
Apparently so. According to Baka Updates there are 4 volumes in total. A real shame really, I enjoyed this one quite a lot.
Wait, the actual manga is complete?
For a long time, in the sea of shit I was looking for something actually worthy of reading. Finally.
I am a bit sad that this manga has only 23 chapters.
The extras usually don't get my attention but I gotta say, making the extras picture book-esque is a nice move on the mangaka's part. Gives it a slightly more...novel storyboard feel?
lol I triedAnd I appreciate extras like the one with all the ship engine details. It's pretty cool when mangakas manage do a little side world/character building even if minor :9
i think it's much more comparable to the manga shounen oujo than some random 80s movie. shounen oujo's mc has to flipflop cross dressing in similar time period and there's even a pirate ship arc.
Well now... A double-update hardly ever gets gobbled up so quickly. ^^ Thanks for the update, as always.
Well, yeah. But if it's good enough for Dido Twite in "Nightbirds on Nantucket", it's good enough for a manga.
Anyone else find him being in a coma for a year questionable? Even if some wealthy benefactor had paid for his care during that time, I don't think 19th century medicine was capable of keeping a comatose patient alive and healthy for that long.
Poor Dustin Hoffman. I know the guy isn't mega-macho, but . . .
Wait... isn't this the same plot as from the movie "Tootsie"???? A woman, pretending to be a man, who is pretending to be a woman....
The plot hasn't yet reached "soft peak" stage, but it's getting there.
The PC master race has no zoom function. They have full theater for a screen and a microscope for looking by the pixels. Anything smaller than their chosen resolution is just for ants.
To compare the impact (which is the focus rather than the phone) :
imagine a wall, it's a giant screen. It displays individual pages then suddenly you're looking through a window watching a bustling marketplace.
