Thank you so much for updating again! This series is such a delight to read. It manages to take voice acting and make it feel like a proper shonen battle stage, with the added benefit of beautiful artwork

Akuto being a pretentious asshole genius is the selling point of this manga, but what really makes me stick around is when Akuto gets fucking destroyed when he can't do something. He's such a fun character.

Unfortunately I studied French and Japanese. Right now I'm waiting for my cleaner, then you can expect more on the English side. I have up to 22 done in translations. The AKA Tenshi team is inspiring though. おつかれ

I would imagine a lot of stuff seiyuu do won't have images that will clearly show its intent, like for drama CDs and games and such, so interpreting it by script alone is a damn important skill. There are a lot of voice actors and seiyuu who don't actually know much about the material they voice. For good reason, who wants to read a hundred volumes of a manga to grasp the deep innermost feelings of a throwaway character? Most prominent I can think of is that the seiyuu for DMMD didn't play it. Oh, to be clear, I mean for the anime and additional content for the game, where there is more dialogue than what was originally voiced in the game. It wouldn't make sense for someone to play a game that hasn't even been made yet. I think the VA for Clear live-tweeted his first playthrough long after the game came out, but the DMMD wave passed ages ago and my knowledge comes almost purely from my dash and feeds on social media, so I can't remember exactly

 

To be fair though, I wouldn't really want to play a VN I made ridiculously exaggerated sex sounds in either, no matter how little it makes up the full game

Also something Nari mentioned when Akuto was auditioning for the widow (chapter 4), that it was better he didn't need to know the script beforehand.

I just caught up to this and it is pretty entertaining.  I like Bean Sprout's delusions regarding Akuto's and Pill Bug's relationship.

Akuto is a jerk but there is reason for it.  Everybody either trying to use him to get access to his father or dismissing all of his efforts by attributing them to his father's influence.

Okay, well that's good.  If his entire personality changed that'd be bad.  I just wanted him over time soften up bit by bit and become more comfortable with others.

That's...  Kind of disappointing to me actually.  I like that he didn't instantly mellow out but developing at all for that long is another thing.

you wont be disappointed 80 chapters later he still is an asshole and hasnt mellowed out at all
