He had the opportunity to run, but decided to risk his life to gather intel on the Orc Lord instead because running would have put innocent people in danger. The last half of the chapter was about how he's actually a good guy with noble motivations despite his outward rudeness. Did you just not read that part, or what?
some of that may have to do with translation quality its really really hard to effectively translate Japanese rudeness and other aspects of speech into english, in some ways calling someone "you" in a familiar way at the wrong time in japanese is as bad as swearing in english for example
It was already tied, she was putting a pin in his head. He doesn't feel pain, so.... yeah.
Why should I? You're the one trying to convince us he's bad, not the other way around.
I'm just telling you to stop judging people by jumping to conclusions.
Spoilers because of 10 line limit.
Yep, he was joined by 2 assistants, I believe one was a werewolf from Karion's side and the other a demon lady from Clayman's side. Things already started changing during the Orc Lord arc when Laplace made an appearance, his first appearance was waaaaay later on in the WN. From what I could see from the LN raws, Karion's subordinates are going to make a move on Tempest on their own, not undercover as part of Youmu's gang so the demon lady probably got shafted? Not sure about this though.
Remember, manga adaptations follow the LN version, and plenty of LNs change or add a lot of material to make it different from the original WN.
I really need both the light novel and the manga to be translated real soon. I need to accelerate time for this one. Gotta use some magic! See you... This series is that good.
please tell me how you know he's a good guy? please tell me how him being in prison shows he's a good guy. maybe he's in there for some altruistic crime but for you to instantly jump on that and say "yea he was in prison and that means hes a true hero!" is fucking retarded. if someone is a prisoner then theres a chance that he's just a nice guy that got wrongly convicted but for you to try and bullshit your way through this saying that the vast majority of the people in prisons are innocent and that the vast majority of then are good guys and pure heroes is delusional.
also "how is he a douche"? did you not read the same chapter i did? did you not see how talk shit about his saviour, insult the "king" of the place that saved him, pretty much insult everyone, bully the kid that looks up to him as a hero and just show 0 manners. sure that doesn't make him a villain but it does make him a douche.
A tsundere guy. And he nearly said: "It's not like I want to save the people, baka" while blushing. Made me laugh quite a bit.
Did you know people used to get sent to prison, then tortured, then sentenced to death by fire, just for "being witches"?
Are you saying witches used to exist and/or were bad? Or that people were called a witch because they were bad?
You seem to be convinced that this guy is bad, and maybe he is. All I know is that he used to be in prison.
Since you obviously know better, mind telling us what his crime is?
Mind explaining what makes him a douche? He's vulgar, yes, but where did he act like a douche exactly?
And how does his personality imply that he's a criminal?
He left his camp to go save a bunch of foreign adventures from a giant spider.
And his reason for doing his job instead of running is "if no one does it, the people would be in danger".
Is that the personality of a criminal? Since when is it criminal to care about other people?
so in your mind if people go to prison then they are a good guy? are the people not in prison the bad guys then?
He morphed into a Dragon Quest slime to accommodate her:
Ahh. Now I remember, thanks for this one.
Adventurer boss is probably going to get a heart attack once he finds out there's also a certain Demon Lord Milim in that happy ensemble.
"how do you feel about becoming a hero?"
mmmkay... are you guys thinking what i'm thinking?? oh well, i think the next 2-3 chapters will be boring as shit...
it's magic, don't question it
When people get sent to prison in a corrupt medieval kingdom in an Isekai setting, they're called "a criminal and a douche".
It's quite funny.
Wait... Rimuru has no hair or anything in slime form. What exactly did Milim tie that ribbon onto?
Which part?
i didn't read the novel, so spoil it a bit for me. just make sure you use the spoiler tag
So... are they skipping one of the best parts of the novel?
