...So give or take thousands of years (more or less) whats to stop lag from ending up like spiritus? Wasn't lags spirit insect the last "living" one? And what about all the gaichuu?

Thank you for your hard work. It was a good read full of warmth, althrough it was a bit too naive at times
Somehow the whole story really reminds me of Pandora Hearts in a good way, and its a shame that ending got cramped into one chapter. But it properly followed inner logic of the story and instead of using save-the-world deus ex machina moments it properly concluded main plot. It was a very satisfactory story ending for me.
I wish there were more of those one-of-its-kind mangas around.

The ending was like a short bullet-point summary of what the author wanted to do. So short we don't even get sub-bullets of the details...
I read a couple times that the ending was supposed to be a lot longer than this so going by that:

Assuming that they had the ending planned out but were restricted to pages, I wish there was a way for authors to somehow show the audience the ending they planned for (short novel? blog post? manga? idk.) No matter how bad or good that planned ending would've been, it'd probably be a while lot better than this,

Another great manga that doesn't manage to stick the landing, unfortunately.
I'm very confused by the ending. Not going to bother trying to decipher it, though, because a combination of bad writing and similarly bad translation/proofreading have driven the idea from my mind. It's a shame, really.
I will echo the others when I said that this manga doesn't deserve such ending.

I hate to be a massive downer at the end of this manga but... that ending sucked.

I remember really loving the anime of this even though it was kinda low-budget. Perhaps I'll give the rest of it a read sometime now that it's nearing the end.

Right??? I started from the beginning again specifically because I thought it was done, and yet. -shakes fist-
just read the last 5 chapters all at once and this is intense AND THEN the "goodbye" chapter ends as a cliff hanger... I was hoping i'd gotten it all i one go too...
The anime did it's own little original ending, so it diverges from the manga at the very end somewhat, but if you take the anime's end to be when the Cabernet is defeated, you'll want to pick up at chapter 59 or 60.
can someone tell me what chapter the anime left off on? Or should I wait for an announcement of another season(that's been going on lately =03)?
