Honestly, I don't dislike the Shiraishi romance thing as much some do. it is, after all, the only form of forward momentum we've got. But having Tanaka kind of warm up to it or be receptive to it is kind of off-putting? Like, I feel that he should be more indifferent about it? That last page of Chpater 81 didn't sit well with me.

I need a lot more chapters of Shiraishi and Tanaka gelling before I can accept even a hint of interest from Tanaka. All the other female characters have way more screen time and established dynamics with Tanaka. Shiraishi can barely have a conversation with him a lot of the time, so their relationship hasn't reached a level of equilibrium or comfort/stability yet.

He has always been conscious of her to some extent, it's not really out of nowhere
