After Junior High, she decided to stop playing baseball and went to Shin Koshigaya High School, a school without a baseball club. Tamaki also played baseball during her Junior High years as a catcher, and could even catch Yomi's "Magic Throw!" Their promise with each other during their childhood could now be fulfilled! Reminds me of a modern-day version of Taishou Yakyuu Musume, which I saw as an anime years ago and really enjoyed. Girls playing baseball is great, especially if they are allowed to play on the same teams as boys. I don't know if they can in Japan, but where I live, not only are girls allowed to play on the same teams as boys in Little League and High School baseball, they are even allowed to, and do, play football (American style with pads and helmets, not to be confused with soccer) in the youth and High School leagues.
