I hope Xiao Li likes Xiao Lu so I can start shipping them.

......

What on earth does ones own ability to produce art have to do with criticizing art? To criticize something you need to understand what it is, what its properties are (and thus what mistakes there can be due to these properties) and how it can be compared to other similar things.

......

Unrelated to the ongoing discussion, BUT

Can I at least complain about postmodern art? I don't understand that stuff at all but, of the ones I've seen at least, most of them look plain stupid.

well i like it.

thanks heavenly scans.

What rights do you have to call artwork that is miles better than what you can produce "childish"?

but this will not change the fact that you are some random "Harry" that does not know how to criticize art.

I would have stayed out of this if it wasn't for this... What on earth does ones own ability to produce art have to do with criticizing art? To criticize something you need to understand what it is, what its properties are (and thus what mistakes there can be due to these properties) and how it can be compared to other similar things.

The art style has a far brighter feel to it due to the way the characters are drawn, the choice of colors and the simplistic shading, thus it can be seen as something aimed for a younger audience. Then when looking at the actual quality of the work, you can see a lot of mistakes on the anatomy of the characters, the perspective, the shading, the angle of certain objects relative to other objects in the same frame and the changing of the size of people on a frame to frame basis relative to other things near them.

On the overal quality of the art, I'd give it a 6/10. It certainly isn't the work of a complete amateur; it manages to hide the majority of the flaws from people who don't know what to look for. Rather, it feels as if it was rushed in order to quickly finish it... I would love to know what other projects the artist for this is working on, because I get the idea that he/she has to finish 3-4 of these things every week.

I'm glad I found this! Although I like Blood and Steel, sometimes the art and text was just.... Overwhelming. For one, I'm glad there is a dumbed down/more casual version.
[...]

I didn't say it was childish, I said it was a lot more childish than the other version, maybe I should've written "targeted at a younger audience" from the start.

I'm not saying noone will like this art/style, I'm just saying that in my opinion (which is subjective and thus not 100% true) it doesn't match the content of the manga/manhua and also seems very generic and undetailed compared to the one of the other version.

Also just replying to your comment seems like a waste of time, I won't argue about whether I'm allowed to voice my opinion in a comment section or not just because I didn't study art (I guess I did argue now).

And because your comment makes it seem like you take these things very personal for some reason and start insulting me, my opinions and my grammar (I'm sure yours isn't perfect either and I'm also pretty sure most people can understand what I write), I'll seriously just stop now.

I'm sure that since I'm just some random

Harry

(whatever that is, never heard of it, sorry) you will be able to just not reply anymore as well.

I am guessing you did not read that, all the blabber is going to be explained along the way, in my reply to Knightpurps? "Childish"? Seriously who are you? To call artworks of any kind childish? This says very much about you! I get that what you said was your own opinion, but just keep it to yourself. What rights do you have to call artwork that is miles better than what you can produce "childish"?

And I am sorry if you do not like this type manha style or my comment as a matter of fact, but this will not change the fact that you are some random "Harry" that does not know how to criticize art.

Frankly enough I think that there will be many of people who like and want to read this manga, and those who won't and probably dislike it. Like I care if you dislike the style, but to publicly say that the artwork is "childish"... That is enough of me...

Please people let me know whether you like it but please do not use an illiterates choice of vocabulary.

Based on the likes, views and comments... our group will decide on whether we should continue this manhua......

Please comment on whether we should continue this manhua with a simple [yes] or for us to stop our releases please comment with a [Childish]

What, stop getting yourself into a hissy fit.

He commented that it looks more "childish"/less serious than the other Blood and Steel manhua, ie. his opinion. And yes, I too find the artstyle in that version more appealing, and will agree that this version looks like it is targeted at younger audiences.

But given that this other version exists, and has in my opinion better art, I will rather read that version, and hope a new chapter arrives soon enough.

This version just seems a lot more childish to me, the art style is completely different from the dark and realistic one, this one looks like any shonen manga/manhua.

Wait, is this literally just Blood and Steel but with a different artist?

Looks like it.

This is the original? version for anyone who doesn't know: http://vatoto.com/comic/_/comics/blood-and-steel-r934

If  you look at the first chapter you'll notice there is some text explaining the fight which seems to miss here. So I guess this is supposed to be more about the action (by leaving long explanations out)?

This is to be explained in the upcoming chapters just wait Knightpurps

And here I thought they were pointing out how the awkward English made extracting meaning from the dialogue a chore.

What were they negotiating about?
