Description: |
In a quiet area of France during WWII, a very young orphan boy was left on the steps of a large mansion on the same day that a daughter was born to the bourgeois family living there. From that day on, Francis and Natalie grew up together and found themselves falling deeply in love. As talk of their marriage began to stir, Natalie suddenly lost her parents to a plane crash, leaving her aunt as her guardian. This aunt, vehemently opposed to Natalie's engagement to a mere orphan, drove Natalie and Francis to run away together.
Unfortunately, they were caught. Rather than be torn apart from each other, Natalie and Francis decide to spend eternity together by jumping off a cliff. Through a cruel twist of fate, however, only Natalie survives...Is there even a smidgen of hope that Natalie will somehow be able to find her love once again? An amazingly well-developed, emotional work of art from Ichijo Yukari. |

well after finishing it...i feel like i've been kicked in the gut.
need to find something sweet so i don't feel like committing suicide later tonight
i wish the ending was happier though
God I loved this. Plenty of high melodrama, low tragedy, severe mental illness, unrequited love, bittersweet melancholy, and all the other things that make a story good. Unless you want to see every character always entirely happy, in which case
screw you and your bad tasteI recommend Batman comics from the 1950s.Spoiler alert :
Regret reading it :/ there's just unhappiness everywhere
In this manga, happiness makes me feel unsettling cause I know misfortune will follow immediately T_T haaaft
I'm only on chapter 6 and this is already the best melodrama I've ever read.
Thanks so much for the hard work jshoujo!! A wonderful piece
Part of the JShoujo 4th Anniversary release, enjoy! Suna no Shiro is officially done! Another title under the belt. Cheers!
And here it is, more melodrama that will give you the feels! Enjoy the new chapter.
I can't believe I'm crying over it at 12 in the morning )':
