Yea, I would agree on the humor point. If you enjoy SS comedy, then it is for you, but if you are here just for the yuri then you might not like it.

The primary appeal about this manga for me is that I like the author's slapstick sense of humor. I like dramatic romances, but romantic comedies like this can be enjoyable too. There're panels that still make me want to laugh when I recall them.
I also liked this one, it was funny and not just echi (there was as good as no echi).
yeah, i'd agree with you Loli Omamori, this one was very funny and sweet, I liked it a lot. But yeah, if "cute and funny" yuri isn't your taste then.......
but I thought It's really Good. One of the Best Shoujo Ai Manga I ever read.
I really love this type of Manga. Not too ecchi and very funny.
A lot of yuri fans are really into Strawberry Shake Sweet. I just found it OK--fun, but nothing very special. Frankly, I think one reason people liked it is for a long time yuri/shoujo-ai was mostly one-shots and very short series like three chapters or such. Anything long enough to be a series became a favourite. But nowadays there are more; I suspect if it was published today it wouldn't stand out particularly.
Then again, maybe lots of people just like SSS' fluffy comedy vibe more than I do.
