Description: | In a near future where humans have safely traveled to Mars, the space program is looking to go to Jupiter for the first time in history. For Subaru Yuuto, Amami Kosei, one of the elite astronauts of the crew of Jupitonia (the ship heading to Jupiter), is not only a person that he looks up to but is also a dear friend of many years. But tragedy strikes and a malfunction causes an explosion in Jupitonia and the ship goes missing in deep space, most believing the crew to be dead. Even with the devastating loss of a friend and hero, Yuuto joins the Core Space Academy to become a super class astronaut (aka Sirius) just like Kosei once was and explore parts of the universe that has not yet been known to man. The competition is cutthroat and he has to become the best of the best if he wants to be where his hero once was. Although the fear of the unknown is immense, Yuuto must learn to overcome it and become the hero for the next generation. |

That's because no one's figured out how to make space profitable yet. Just wait. Soon as they figure out how to turn a profit from mining asteroids or terraforming for farming or something, interest in space will skyrocket. F*cking money. It's always about the money.
I buried Star Children over 1.5 years ago, and I buried St&rs just a month ago.
These two space manga started at approximately the same time and got axed in a hurry. Well, St&rs was given more of a chance, although it was inferior in my opinion.
I think it's a symptom that humanity's space dream is dead. No one cares about space anymore, since it's clearly too expensive and hasn't been justifying the effort put into it in quite a while (except satellites, of course). From now on, the humanity will begin to turn inward and collapse on itself...
Man, I'm feeling so philosophical today.
It's probably a moon. I'd guess either Europa or Calipso as the other ones have way too much toxic gas on them.
That or the author could have pulled some trick to give an "earth-like" moon to Jupiter that no one ever saw before by sheer luck (hence the reason of the crash?), but that would have been stretching it pretty far..
Walking... on Jupiter?
What is this, I don't even...
(Maybe one of Jupiter's moons, but walking on a gas giant is ridiculous you silly boy.)
But at least we didn't get an info dump. And we can think about the limitless possibilities!
While I want to know what happened with Kousei and whether he (and his crew?) can be saved and Yuuto (or someone, at least!) go to Jupiter (and Yuuto and co would be in sirius?), as you see, there are many threads which needs to be finished, I'm afraid that it'll all be rushed in one chapter. I'm curious, but don't want an info dump :/
Well, I guess we'll see. Thank you, Pinoymanga, for scanlating this series for us!
Uchuu Kyoudai is also quite good.

Well, I hope in spite of this, Pinoymanga will scanlate it to the last chapter.
