I can't get past the fact that Koume Keito gave Holo Tyrannosaurus-like teeth.

 

That is NOT what wolf teeth are like.

Well, most mangakas draw teeth that way when they need to look fearsome and dangerous. Not to mention, neither her tail (which is obviously a FOX tail) nor her behaviour is very much like a wolf ... Ah well, the Japanese wolves have been extinct for quite a few decennia now, so it doesn't really matter too much anymore.

I see there was a misunderstanding I have read the LN I just have not read the Yen Press translation and was wondering how it was. I understand that Holo acts out of character in the anime and manga. I was just wondering about the quality of the translation.

The YP translation is pretty well done. There's a certain "medieval vibe" in the words used (i'm not a native english speaker, though). 

The "unofficial" translation is quite good too. 

In the manga Holo is depicted and acts sometimes out of character, she is way more mature in the novel, the manga took a more childish, playful approach (just compare this cover to the LN ones...)

 

I agree. That said, sometimes Holo in the books is quite a pain to bear. Poor Lawrence has really hard times. 

It's definitely more than decent. I too suggest you to read LN, just skip the extra volumes (7, 11 and 13). I'd tell you to skip number 14 too, because it's really bad... but I guess that it's kind of important for the serie.

I agree in that you should skip vol. 13, the other side stories are just fine (if you like the series). only the nora side story (half of vol. 13) is kinda meh.

can't say anything about vol. 14 because it's not out here yet.

translations are very good, there are about 1-3 mistakes per book that I notice as a non-native speaker/reader.

Volume 1 of the LN ends at chapter 16. Now we're near the end of Volume 2.

The last published volume of the manga should be around book 7, IIRC. I guess we have some way to do

I'm looking forward the adaptation of volume 3, it's one of my favourites (except for the last three, which are the best, even better than the first ones).

I'm torn on doing that, because the art in the manga is really good. I feel like a few lines of text wouldn't quite do Holo the justice that the artist does.

The LN of this is in english, I suggest you pick it up, its the best way to intake this series

The LN of this is in english, I suggest you pick it up, its the best way to intake this series 

Nice manga, good art and well written.  Kind of sheds a dismal light on human nature, though.  

There's 9 volumes released stateside atm.  So...this is far off.

I'm still waiting for it to reach the anime ending..orz...

so 3 more chapters to complete this title?
