Not sure why Japan felt the monsters in the anime needed to look like giant tentacles. Oh wait, yes I am sure. It's f***ing Japan.

H'm.  I might have thought of a hack for his ability.  The question is, how do you define "landing"?

If it's "contact with the surface you're aiming at" then that wouldn't necessarily mean you have to come to a stop before you re-aim.  So here's what you do:  You touch a monster and "fall" together almost sideways along the corridor, aiming for a patch of wall that's a long way away.  When you touch, you're going fast but just skimming.  Before the road rash gets too harsh you immediately reorient, aiming your "gravity" back the way you came but at a shallower angle, letting go of the monster.  The monster keeps going from inertia, bouncing off the walls and floor and hopefully hitting something hard.  Your new gravity slows you down and reverses your direction in a short hop that doesn't let you build up enough momentum to hurt yourself before you touch down.  If you see a monster a long distance away down the corridor you could pull the same stunt to accelerate something big and hard towards it.

There is an art, it says, or rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss. Pick a nice day, [The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy] suggests, and try it.

The first part is easy. All it requires is simply the ability to throw yourself forward with all your weight, and the willingness not to mind that it's going to hurt.

That is, it's going to hurt if you fail to miss the ground. Most people fail to miss the ground, and if they are really trying properly, the likelihood is that they will fail to miss it fairly hard.

Clearly, it is the second part, the missing, which presents the difficulties.

A little late, but i didn't realize this was coming out with an anime, since this is Chinese. but i guess i'l give the anime a shot.

So after watching the anime's first episode I'll likely keep watching. I am totally okay with it passing the currently translated chapters, but please keep translating, as I am sure the anime will end at a point where you just want more. Japan knows how to treat addicts right. Make them want more and then deny them more while addicting them to new product.

So now. It has an anime.

Besides, I wonder if he couldn't just set a new spot midway anyway. Or use dustflakes or the like as spots, thus gaining free control.[spoiler]

Aquamarine maybe? It's defined as being between blue and green and just slightly transparent.

Huh.  Gaelic has (had?) a colour like that--"glas" if I remember right.
