Axed like all Boichi manga for being too sexy.
I feel like the comparison has problems. Sharks don't deliberately hunt down humans by the thousands, disable them by removing a key limb, and then leave the rest of them to rot and die.
The difference is really one of power--humans have the ability to wipe out several species of shark in the name of personal gain; sharks do not have the same power over us. With great power comes great responsibility: Not because of touchy-feely feelings about dead animals, understand, but because we're capable of (and well into the process of) seriously fucking up oceanic ecosystems, which, if you understand how ecology works, is a problem for everyone, including humans.
I mean, personal feelings of vengeance are another matter, I suppose, but it doesn't make shark-fin hunting a good idea.

Pretty much. They get curious, take a bite, realize it's not what they wanted, but don't necessarily stop. They're not really masters of self-control.

Oh well, at least from this and Sun-Ken rock, we can safely assume Boichi loves girls, actions and food. I can't say I disagree with him.
Well... Sharks have a problem to eat humans, because humans aren't their naturaly prey. The meat of humans is too low leveled in turns of fat, thus it is very "unattractive" for a shark to actually eat a human...
As someone who watched a close friend lose a limb to a shark 40 years ago, I recognize that sharks have no problem with eating humans, so I have no problem with humans eating sharks.
It seems he had the chance to redraw this from older stuff he had. Maybe his editor liked it and he just did one volume worth of story.
It's a shame that it's so short, though. I laughed so much at the reactions from the girls. Boichi amazes me with all his borderline H drawings.
I wonder why Boichi only makes this VERY INTERESTING manga just 1 vol ... did the sales and reader poll goes bad or something ? geez ... really want for more ...
