Something that's nagged me before was the names of the three different branches of Hokuto (Sonkaken, Sokaken, and Ryukaken) and how they were related to Hokuto itself, now rereading this after learning more of the Three Warring States period its names are meant to be Hokuto Sunkaken, Caokaken and Liukaken referring to the three warring states; its translated name probably comes as this was the Japanese pronunciation of these names.

This is one of the best series I've ever read in terms of artwork and in terms of cohesive plot structures. Heck, I liked the story so much that I made Kasumi my profile pic. This series is better than HnK in my opinion.

Thanks Hokuto no Gun

Is it wrong that I enjoy this more than HnK?

Thanks a lot, Hokuto no Gun.

And guys, it won't do any harm to give a score to this great read. I gave 5 stars, naturally.
It was a truly great story with superb arts, finally after several of their series that didn't managed to catch my interest, Buronson and Hara managed to hook me in the same way their Hokuto no Ken did back in the days.
Been a while. Thanks for the bulk release. Love you guys.
Wohohohooo, thanks a lot Hokuto no Gun. And yes, some very good manga don't get all the love they deserve.
This series is WAY too underrated. I really wish more people followed it, the authors really stepped up their game, I personally find the story here a bit better written than Hokuto no Ken.
Thanks for that über-upload, man!

@Exa: well, in the main story there are many references to Toki being the most suitable candidate for inheriting the Hokuto throne, but Toki was unable because of the radiation hiting him due to being the salvator of a group of people.
@Oliverfr They're both Kasumi Kenshiro. And yeah, the nephew wasn't so strong, despite triumphing over what was left of the world he was probably weaker than some of his Hokuto brothers.
Am I mistaken ? From everything I've read so far in Souten No Ken, comparing it to what I've learned from Hokuto No Ken, it seems to me that Kasumi would easily beat Kenshiro's ass into oblivion. Kenshiro had no inheritance ceremony, didn't finish his fighting studies, and never saw heavens smile on him...
The art and the storyline is SO DAMN AWESOME!! It makes me want to be the "man" on the story.. Damn.. im crazy about gangsta life
How are there not more people following this series? Seriously...
the art is incredible in this, but this had to take a long time to draw
Its too short ch218
Haaaa, if only Hokuto No Ken had been drawn with that level of experience and mastery !
(and with a proper ending)
Finally. I'm so excited. If only the chapters were a little longer.
Start the fight already.
Thanks for uploading this!
Very nice work for this scanlation. A tale of truly manhood.
My condolences, nameless-cook-who-puts-cats-in-his-stew. May you rest in pieces, by the end of next chapter.
