It's pretty good for a story done in the author's spare time. I think she even lampshades the weird pacing and foreshadowing at some point
Manic constant failed attempts at humor where it can't take it's own story seriously, typical of the manga that comes from this artist. I think I will unfollow it.
It may not be bl in the strictest sense of the term, but the subtext is nothing short of amazing.
edit:// Okay I just finished watching this and I change my mind. It gets pretty borderline (and occasionally crosses that border) towards the end. Their relationship is still in development, but BOY does it develop. (Season 2 when?)
If anyone is interested, the Japanese dub has also been picked up by Crunchyroll this season.
Link to English subs for the anime ~
There's 16/20 episodes out. Each is 15 minutes long.
So far in the anime they've kissed only once for a certain reason. I'm not sure how the manhua is but I wouldn't really call it shounen-ai based on that.
I found this, if anyone's interested
This style indicates a bad story method that depends on unfunny humor at the cost of serious story. Seen a few like that using that style. Maybe follow and reserve judgement for a few chapters.
Truck-kun always get the action, even in manhua!
Hopefully the art gets less wonky over time.
"right now you're a lady, in the future, well... an old woman" <- most accurate fortune telling I've ever come across really
thanks for the series, Mystic Mizuki, it looks interesting
I'm curious to see where this story goes, since it doesn't have any warning signs of bad writing yet.
Thanks for the translation, Mystic Mizuki. There were some issues with your English verb tense in places but it was all quite understandable. Keep at it!
