I thought the same thing. Realy, all the shoujo girls tend to cry all the time. She is so much better than them!

I like the main character of this. Her personality and look are different from a lot of shoujo heroines--she's kind of tall and leggy and outdoorsy, which is kind of nice, and she doesn't cry and blush all the time. And while a lot of shoujo heroines are cheerful, she's cheerful in a more basic way--she just does things she enjoys, and she has fun doing them, so she's cheerful about it. And then she's kind of responsible, like with helping her mom, and she isn't particularly cheerful about that. She seems like someone you could get along with.
