The end sucked
I can see why you're upset with the author's portrayal, but I believe you may have misinterpreted.
This manga...was pretty homophobic? I'm used to that in BL manga written by women but....it really ruined this one for me in particular, because the author was actually choosing to write about more serious issues, but missing the mark with them. Like, the author was in support of gay rights but.....eh. You can think you support LGBT rights while still harboring harmful misconceptions about LGBT people.
[spoilers] It was creepy and unpleasant how she implies that the pedophile teacher was just a gay man who'd gone too far....and all that shit about comparing the young boys to an adult pedophile rapist, was just bad. Plus the shit about "their eyes being different" like?? being gay doesn't make you a different kind of human. The author seemed to be implying that being gay is something inherently dark and twisted, a really harmful negative stereotype.
Not to mention, conflating homosexuality with gender identity, as if they're the same thing....like oh they're gay so of course they want to be women! Or, being trans and being gay is the same thing! Very common and negative stereotypes. The author treated Kirino as gay, but then discussed how he wanted to transition to female? She tried to write a gay boy but accidnetally wrote a closeted trans girl lmao. Also, MAN were the character relationships weird. Mishima got over that bullying way too fast to be realistic, and Kirino and Yumeno's attitudes toward Mishima flipped weirdly quickly
Anyway....that's my very serious review. I will actually read the last few chapters if they're translated, because I am a little invested, but definitely think critically about how this portrays gay men. Tbh in retrospect, I actually wish I'd skipped this one.
Mishima's mother is the only reasonable person in this manga, the real mvp.
Yeah, great idea. Then he'll get reincarnated as an overpowered bishounen MC in some fantasy world. That'll show him.

the rape was really unnecessary for this story, only thing I think it really did was make me not want to continue reading this.

This has been an interesting read so far.
Really like this series. it's pretty different from other BL.
Not really a BL fan (yet?) but the cover and the synopsis has this kind of draw to them. And they don't even hint on how "funny" this manga can be. Pretty good stuff here.
This manga is pretty solid, waiting for more development now that it's going though, slow but the kinda thing that'd be more enjoyable to read once it's finished than waiting update to update.
