Slow Step

Are we sure about the ending?  It seems pretty open ended to me.  The teacher transferred out before things get complicated and everyone seemed to move on with their life.

It was really good except from the ending.I didn't like at all the one that she ended up with.

not my favourite pairing, but I think the manga overall is great.

lol it was obvious who she'd choose in the end, It's always the guy whos has that face that gets chosen.

Every manga i read from adachi, I'd know who the heroine ends up with as long as it has shuh face.

I see so much hate for Shuh just because he's easy-going, in favor of the stick-up-his-ass Naoto.

Just thought I'd balance out the perspectives a little.

Yeah, it was an interesting way to end it.  Don't expect the exact same ending from Adachi each time, I guess.  Thanks Guren no Heya Kara for (1) scanlating and translating this, and (2) for doing such a great and timely job.  You guys rock!

"Short end of the stick?"  Maybe.  I like Shuh and he's not a bad person.  I just like Naoto better as a character and as a great foil for Minatsu.

Thanks for the new chapter, Guren no Heya Kara.  I'm really enjoying this manga.  I really like Minatsu.  She's one of Adachi Sensei's best heroines, and this chapter was a real hoot.

Shuh has zero personality other than "perv" and being serious when it comes to fighting over Reiko. Don't even see him talk to her that much(maybe they do "off screen," but certainly isn't depicted here).

 

The teacher is pretty creepy for seriously going after his student. Maybe some people are cool with that, but I'm not.

 

Naoto at least talks to Reiko a lot, isn't her teacher, and is overall a good guy.

This is adachi, OLD adachi at that, meaning the pacing is a little off (it was the style of the time, look at Fist of the North Star, City Hunter, etc....  MC personalities and stuff don't get shown until at least the 1/3 part of the story).  The latest chapter is showing Shuh's personality that you said it's lacking :3

Well, IF there's a lucky guy in this series, it's got to be Naoto.  Shuh is too much of a cliché (unrepentant horndog/pervert), and sensei, although pretty badass, and with an adorable niece/daughter, is still a pervert, and also has a very cute and serious girl after him (don't know what the hell more he wants in his situation, unless it's really true love he has for Minatsu).  I just have to see Naoto as the most pure of the three suitors.  Physically, he's a total stud muffin, but he's as pure as Minatsu is.  Shuh and the coach, while pretty decent guys, just ain't as pure as Naoto.  The coach should go with Ayako, who is gorgeous, very serious, and he has already played around with her affections.  Shuh is just too horny and obvious.  While horny isn't really a bad thing, if you don't totally love the girl MC, the gods of Adachi manga (and my opinion) will curse you to non-appearance oblivion (in the manga) and hideous revenge at my hands in the real world (which will make you glad you're a manga character).  

There it is!  I love Adachi heroines, but don't think the MC's deserve them, unless they are Koh Kitamura pure.

Chika's few words, indeed.  If I want to keep a secret, more than one person (me) is one too many sharing it.  Just look at JK Rowling.  While writing under a pseudonym, only her agent and her lawyers knew it.  The lawyer told his wife (in strictest confidence) who told her best friend (in strictest confidence).  The "best friend" then informed a journalist from the Sunday Times.  If they go after her legally, maybe she can set up housekeeping in Moscow Airport with Snowden.
