is it a conversion story though?
granted part of the reason im saying this is because mainstream japanese thought doesnt recognise homosexuality in the western sense to be a state of being(ie not an identity) so the story may not be able to tell it apart but i do think sometimes the ways in which people talk about sexual orientation in the western sense is a bit restrictive and also judgy in an odd way.
the heroine in this story hasnt made any statement or action to state her explicit preferences and so for us to make a judgement call about her orientation and therefore what the story is doing to her is a bit short-sighted in my opinion, i mean it runs a spectrum. the whole story has her confused and just because there was a resolution to that confusion(no matter how vague it is) doesnt mean that is is the final solution.
conversion stories are dumb but thats because they seek to negate and overturn the identities of the individual involved and as long as that doesnt happen or there is no undertone of that, i dont think it should count as a conversion story
I really don't like how they just let the rapist go in the end I know it's troubling for the victim to go through the legal process but a guy like that isn't going to stop just because he got away with it once they usually feel empowered by being left off the hook and continue to rape people. Everything about this ending pissed me off.
Ugh. I am debating whether this has enough redeeming features to keep reading it even though it's a lesbian conversion story, which is a really fucking stupid kind of story.
Im just glad they ended up together.

it's a manga with a lot of potential, ofcourse there'll be a shit ending like all her mangás, but even so...
And even Azami (the girl the MC bumped into) thinks that his name is weird.
I'm not sure how it works in Japan, but Midori is a girlish-sounding name to me.

I don't know, Mr. or Mrs. Person Who Wrote the Description, who the hell is Midori? You've already mentioned three real people and one fictional person and none of them have names.
Why bother having a proofreader if they're not going to be good at the language you're translating into though? I'd never volunteer to proofread a Spanish translation even though I'm fluent. You miss too much.
Interesting story so far, let's see where this goes.
As for the "Did she died.", things like that happen because the sentence can be translated two ways; (1)Did she die? or (2)I wonder if she died.
I run into this a lot at work where we have people from all over the globe working here, China, Japan, India, Germany, Brazil and on and on.
In this case, I think it is amazing that they know more than one language well enough to even attempt translating. So as long as I understand what they mean, I can easily overlook the occasional grammatical mistake. Now, if was a person who was raised speaking English (Or a version there of.) then I have very little patience for their mistakes.
