Doesn't rps work both ways? Couldn't he just be the one to initiate the round in the same way she can? Unless I missed an explained rule, he could just win anytime he wants, right?

Based on my experience reading korean manwhas and watching dramas, the answer is simple: just make the devil fall for you :v
This is turning out to be really entertaining, and much faster in its development than most manhwas I've read, like it knows what it wants to be about. I'm looking forward to the next chaps, if possible.

I think if I were the devil I'd deliberately lose some small percentage of the time just to spread the word that I could sometimes be beaten, so that people would keep trying.

Looks interesting. I'm asking myself if this series is going to depict a long way until he understands that she is a devil and how he chooses to play the game or rather keeps that part short and focuses on the aftermath of the game be it winning or losing.
