This is the kind of manga that makes me grateful, that I am who I am (manga reader).
An amazing story, written wonderfully.
Loss of words to describe... But my tears says it all... the mix of emotion is overwhelming, especially towards the end..
I love the art! It was funny the first few chapters but it became awesome af, drool worthy art style as the chapters goes on.
Btw the feels becomes much much! stronger when you read it while playing the soundtracks as bg music
I'm okay with the ending. I think it was done very well, like the outcome of IH game and what happened. They dont have super powers y'know, so those w/c I think is very close to what could happen in reality. Atleast nothing much worst had happened.
Still my #1! Fave manga! & Inoue Takehiko is still #1 Mangaka for me.^^
...and I still want to marry Akira Sendoh.

it's like you don't even know who takehiko inoue is. i think it's just that you aren't used to the "macho" style that was in style 2 decades ago

Oh man. I spent so many hours reading this manga.. laughed so much.. was thrilled as hell or awfully nervous about the matches these guys fought.. and i was literally just damn shocked when i realized that i was reading the last chapter and that it would be.. over just like that, i was at a loss i'm being serious here. This manga was hilarious and then again just so realistic at times and sad and exiting but never lost its humour and i honestly don't know what to write right now but to make a long story short: slam dunk is a fucking awesome manga with a great story and brilliant character development. pls read this manga. Just do it. you'll be swamped with manlyness and passion and you'll love it.
I picked this up out of boredom.
This has been the second time I read this and yet Inoue Takehiko-sensei has never failed to amuse me. Such a masterpiece. It made me laughed a lot at the beginning and cried a lot in the end; it's been a while since I got emotional reading manga. Here I want to thanks all the people that made Slam Dunk possible. Special thanks for Inoue Takehiko-sensei and Tensai Manga Project.
If you haven't read this manga, I totally recommended it. Be prepared for the feel trip~
I was so devastated when they decided to end it with all the pressure from the so called 'scandal'. For me Slam Dunk still is the best sport manga.

The caracters development is more deeper for some second role caracters...
The best hot blooded sports manga of the 90's that defines my childhood. Dreams, Passion, Growth, Teamwork and Never Giving in till the last second. This is what this manga is all about!
