Anyway, this MC is pretty retarded. Who the fuck gets intimidated by a fucking preteen, boxcutter in hand or no? He could have snapped her arm like a twig if he had wanted to. And fuck no, her going to the police would not work out in her favor. Her fingerprints must be all over the apartment, including on the knife. The amount of bullshit the police would have to swallow in order to believe her over him is ridiculous. I mean he even has a motive on her that is backed up by evidence. And then there is the recorder, the bike, the locked flat door, the stab wounds (which, given the location on the back, can hardly be self-inflicted) ...

I mean, seriously, put yourself in his position. Imagine an apparently psychopathetic middleschooler attacking you in your own home. Would you tuck your dick between your legs like the OP and let yourself be kidnapped like this? I know this happened because muh plot but that does not make it any less contrived, the curiosity of an author notwithstanding.

Why? Are you handicapped? How could you fail to disarm a fucking 10-year-old girl or whatever her age is supposed to be? The only weaker human being would be an even younger girl. Or a paraplegic, I guess. And screw the knife. A cat has claws, too, that are theoretically capable of opening your jugular but in a 1-on-1 fight you are still gonna simply stomp on its spine and end it in a second.

Anyway, you would have the head-start with any attack since a conscious reaction is always delayed by at least half a second so your attack would be almost over by the time she could even begin to respond.

I am agree, it is really breaking the willing suspension of disbelief.

Okay this is interesting.  The protagonist is compelled to stay although he had opportune moments to easily get away.  And overpowering a girl with a knife like that wouldn't really result in any life threatening injuries.  Well...unless he's really unlucky.  

 

Still I think this is more of curiosity getting the better of him, and it isn't like anything is happening in his life.  As far as we know he doesn't have any friends or individual that would really notice him being missing, and his writing wasn't getting him anywhere.  Except now he has this girl that takes him because he saw a portion of her personality.  One that told her to save and turn off her game before freaking out over her friend dying.  That is a collection of events that could indicate a lot of things about the girls character...and the environment she has grown up in.

 

I'm interested but the protagonists could probably save time and take some psychology classes in his University to learn why someone could be that way without having to be kidnapped...but I guess seeing a screwed up death and reaction makes character take psychology class doesn't make a good story.
