There really isn't much character development for the supposed MC.

Yeah, I really thought something would happen after that flashback. But nope, life as always. Plus the supporting characters are getting too much screen time so nothing actually happens between MC and the heroine. Unless the heroine is his sis....

Just starting reading today. And it is a fun and easy manga to read. Nothing too deep but a nice way to spend the afternoon. Thank you for translating this story.

Sorry for the sudden delay, I wanted to at least release one chapter a day but some things happened so there's that. I've recently been procrastinating, watching youtube videos all day, and there was a sudden large fire around our neighborhood, right when I was in the middle of translating chapter 26 (we prepared for evacuation; no worries, I'm still alive.)

Just to clear some things about the plot in case some of you get confused:

 

Why is Azami alive?

Why can Hinagiku use magic if she's not a noble/royalty?

Why can't Nadeshiko use magic if she's a noble?

What does Osono-san look like?

Why wasn't Midori's parents worried about their sudden disappearance (into Apfel)?

When will this manga end?

Why are the translations so bad?

Okay,,, the "Harem" tag seriously needs to go away. This is *not* a harem. Hell Midori isn't even qualifying as a protagonist. His sister is CLEARLY the protagonist. I'll give it a couple more chapters but, seriously I've never seen a more useless MC.

After reading chapter 12 and such, my initial reaction was, "Wha... Huh..? When did this story suddenly get so dark? And why does it not feel out of place?"

Let me answer that for you, past me: it was always there, the author just did a very good job hiding it from us with humor.

For everyone else who is asking where the dark story came, just look at how Shinko is bullied. It is a simple cruelty, yet she takes it all in stride with a perfect poker face that betrays almost no emotion. That expressionless facade is just the way she copes with it.

The shadows were always there, but the light wasn't strong enough for them to be noticeable.

Real life has been getting in the way. Next chapter should be early tomorrow. I really hate being late, I'm sorry guys.
