The art style is really nice and fitting for the manga.

anyone know when this was originally published? seems like this was the author's attempt at drumming up hype for serialization. the pacing is too awkward for it to be anything else.

It was published earlier this year in Comic Walker I believe.

Its plot is pretty basic shounen and it isn't all that special, but I have to say the art and characters were pretty fun. Shame it didn't get serialized.

Agreed, looks like they're planning from the start to make this something big.
Still, it's a decent start. Likable characters with unique (sort of) traits, solid art, and looks to be fairly action-packed.

It was just getting interesting, and then suddenly we're on the old supernatural forced-marriage train? Please let this be a passing plot point or joke rather than the theme of the series. Romcoms of this type are dead to me.

On the other hand if people are saying this ends on chapter 3, that would avoid that I suppose o.o;

The mom is alive right? I'm not wrong in assuming she's not a ghost?

She can't see Maru (which a ghost), meaning she's a living being.

That said, i nominate the Mom for the best supportive mother in manga award.
