The beginning of the story felt too typical, there were no quirks or interaction that made it any different to other romance shoujo.
The pacing and storytelling was so similar that I felt I could be reading any other filler shoujo.
Even the 'frenemies' with her neighborhood child friend was written in such a typical fashion there was no distinction that "ah, this is what Shiraishi is good at and it's a spin on the tropes."
Thus the romance didn't amount to much.
The only part I like is the plot in the middle - how her cousin was set to attack/harm/kill her for the family treasure. I predicted that halfway through.
Even the use of "dolls" attacking wasn't that silly, or that the main guy was a ninja I wasn't as bothered.
All these elements of plot, romance, dolls and ninja didn't blend well together, but it wasn't too silly surprisingly.
Still, overall story was very typical shoujo, so skip if you want a better romance/story.
Could have used some more explanation at the end but it was cute.
