lol, this manga is pure trash, full of fansevice and random sex, it is almost cringe.

Rubbish.
Please ignore what MAL says and at least give this a try, there may be some 'ecchi' here and there but to call it hentai is ridiculous, I had a look at the anime and honestly found the manga much better at representing the horror of cantus running amok or the queerats, among other things.
A shame the series is incomplete here.

Wow.... The feels..... Definitely a fave even if it seems like some plot twists didn't need to happen.
all i can say after finishing is that this was greatest story conveyed through the use of manga.

I haven't read the original source material so I can't comment which adaptation was better, but I can say though I love the anime adaptation, but I also really enjoyed this manga adaptation. It wasn't entirely the same as the anime, and it definitely pandered with fan service and such, but I liked it all the same.
The shadow is us (the readers). Shinsekai yori is basically the memoir Saki was writing at the end.
Wait... in that case, where the heck is my cantus, damnit? I wanna be able to get beer from the fridge without moving my body! Then again, I've always had the suspicion that the true purpose for all the sex is to prevent the espers from being fat couch potato slobs glued to their sofas.

I didn't expect to see any more updates after noticing that the chapters got removed. Ending was good, I like this series a lot. Will definitely reread some day.

Yeah. Midway through the anime I started rooting for the queerats.

although i do prefer the anime in terms of style and less heavy-handed fanservice, i do love the more detailed and darker plotline in this one. does the manga mirror the light novel more in terms of plotline and detail? just wondering, because i'm sure they had to make lots of cuts for the anime to happen.
