It's really interesting how this artist managed to keep this weird, grotesque and smutty Nagai Go style even now. You would never expect to see designs like this in anything post 1990...

I'm still sad the Shin Great Mazinger anime never happened.
And man, I love this thing. The Iron Masks are as creepy now as they were in the original comic, and I love that they're playing it to the hilt like this instead of just leaving it at "Yeah. Dudes in iron masks. Scary, huh?"
And every step along the way, something even more outrageous happens, and it just feels RIGHT.
(I'm still laughing over "the president's crotch has been taken hostage!", incidentally)
