OK, the childhood friend guy annoys me.  I'm happy he confessed and is doing his best and whatever.  And I get that he's kind of resentful that the girl he loves is paying so much attention to this useless gloomy guy.  But he's being a dick about it.  Generally peevish, for one thing, and then there's that bit in chapter 7 where he tells the guy all this "I'm better than you and so you're useless because you're not like me" stuff. 

Of course, this chapter he "apologized"--but it was one of those non-apology apologies.  If there's one thing I hate, it's those "I'm not really sorry but I'll say just enough that I hope you can't make a thing of it any more" politician-style pseudo-apologies.

Which has me hoping that she ends up with Yamada because I don't like Miyabi and I usually root for the childhood friend, too.

Oi, this bitch. She's being professional at leading guys by the nose. She's not rejecting the riajuu guy, and basking in his affections, but then immediately getting involved with the otaku dude...

It's not really her fault here. The two grew up together. Growing up, she honestly didn't even recognize that he's a "guy" until he decided to plant one on her. In fact it's even worse in his case, she actively mentioned to herself how he actually looked like a girl when he was younger. They're practically girlfriends, which allowed her to get more touchy-feely than boy-girl friend pairs tend to be. The concept of gender to her didn't even matter. They were just close friends and that was that.

Now that he went and blew the lid on his pent up feelings, she's stuck with how she wants to treat him. She doesn't want to lose him as a close friend which is her problem. She has already told him that her admitting she liked him wasn't implying romantic interest. She already recognizes their exceptionally close bosom-buddy relationship is over, and now she needs to be conscious of how she acts with him. 

Short of telling childhood-friend-kun she has no interest in him romantically, she has basically already thwarted or attempted to thwart his (often forceful) advances. But here's the thing -- she's a kid, she doesn't know what her feelings mean yet. It's obvious to us that she has no romantic feelings for her friend and is definitely building such feelings for Yamada, but she isn't quite so aware. But with her unaware of what her feelings mean, she doesn't know how she feels about either of them. This story is about her learning the difference in feelings she has between these two boys.

Yep. 2016 and absolutely no recollection of this.

Okay, back to reading this again from chapter one.

aaaah, I wanted chapter 5 to end like:

"Ok, let's sing my favourite anime openings!"

Woah...I expected the childhood friend to be destined to a series of miserable chapters in which he could only observe his beloved from afar not being able to confess his feelings because he doesn't want to ruin their friendship while she slowly falls in love with the one that should be the male main character or something..I mean,I didn't expect him to confess so soon! Yes,make her aware of your feelings!  

However it's quite obvious that she'll fall for the nerdy guy which I don't dislike but for once it would be nice to see the childhood friend succeed. But alas, they went through the oops,we got lost on the mountain-hike field trip-don't you worry,I'll protect you event. 

There is something about mountain-hike field trips that lures romantic leads into getting lost.  A jealous spirit or something.  Well, or more like a matchmaking spirit.

The story itself gave it away.......  Because I felt Miyabi played his entire hand once he kissed her.  Not really much he can do after that, beside get jealous.
