By the time this manga gets updated I always forget what was going on in the story...

I read this before bato.to even existed... Good lord I have to star from the beginning huh?

@Catbug time to feel that way once again!

What a waste of pussy human lives.

Thanks for the update Palmereap scans!

"If you wanna join get naked." LMAO!

whoa reading ch4 and think.....

this is similar too mahoromatic huh....

Huh, the translations for this series picked up again. Didn't expect this for sure. Don't expect this to end happily though, those of you who've read ahead on u17 know what I'm talking about.

Holy crap, I thought this was dead and buried. Thank you for the new scan.

Wow, it's been awhile.  I didn't remember the MC being so unreasonable and childish.  Guess I'll have to reread from the beginning!

Okay, you prioritize the life of your soldiers first, that's fair but I prioritize Liu Li's over those soldiers I barely know. HuehuehueHuehue.

This is one of those series that is always bound to be picked up at some point.

I forgot these even existed.

Oh, an update. It's been so long.

Thank you Palmereap Scans.

yay to Palmereap Scans

Shit got real.

They are definitely overused in contemporary fiction, but it's not the idea of nanomachines themselves that are bad or fantasy.  Most fiction (mainly games and manga) that use nanomachines use them as an excuse for having inexplicable things happen -- deus ex machina more or less. It comes off more as magic rather than traditional logic based science fiction.

In the case of this series the nanomachines are used as the rationale for why the fighters are so over-the-top powerful and that's fine, but it's still more fantasy than sci-fi and that's all I was saying. This series hasn't exactly been using them as deus ex machina since it has been fairly consistent, so it's not really detrimental, aside from it not being intriguing from a sci-fi perspective.

nanomachines are more fantasy than sci-fi in practice

I agree with almost everything else, but nanotechnology is one of the newest pillars of science fiction, not fantasy.

This series is pretty good as far as generic action manga/manhua go, it reminds me a bit of Full Metal Panic mixed with Freezing along with some GiTS design influence. The art is overall very nice especially for the female lead, the action is decent, and the story is sufficient but not what I'd call original or great (nanomachines are more fantasy than sci-fi in practice).  The weakest points are between the characters, flow, and dialogue; these things give the series a bit of an awkward feeling at times to me personally.

Like many action series it skips on developing the characters and instead opts to have things quickly escalate for better or worse. It's primarily an issue at the start of the series but once the hole is there it's never truly filled. I'd also note that Bai Hua is by far the most underdeveloped character, she causes inconsistencies, and confusing hypocrisy throughout the series. There is some awkward dialogue all through the series that make characters seem foolish or strange along with the scene itself, especially in regards to the main character.

Overall, not a bad series and the author seems to have a very respectable and cool attitude about his work. I recommend it if you're looking for an action series to read.
